At the beginning of 2012, I wrote a post called Ten Things That Could Make Or Break the Year 2012 [In Music].  One item on that list was the 3rd annual Live! At Squamish music festival, scheduled for August 24-26, 2012, sponsored by Virgin Mobile.

I didn’t attend the first L!AS in 2010 for whatever reasons… Lack of interest might have unfortunately been one.

I couldn’t attend last year as I was officiating my brother-in-law’s wedding.  Family first! To be completely honest, there were a few bands last year I wanted to see such as John Butler Trio and Metric, but overall, I wasn’t overly disappointed I missed out.

But THIS year!

The lineup is a little insane. It’s a veritable Canadian indie smorgasboard, many bands of which I have yet to sample live—oh, and yes, there are some quality American acts *ahemAirborneToxicEventahem*

I have yet to see Kathleen Edwards, City and Colour, Mother Mother and several others live, so I’m hoping to save up a few pennies from underneath the couch cushions for this one.
